HELP TO IMPROVE IN SCIENCE
Senior Physics allows students to further develop skills in planning and conducting investigations, scientific thinking and problem solving.
Students develop an appreciation for physics by understanding its history, nature and practice, applications and uses, implications for society and the environment, current issues and research and development.
Students will develop positive values about and attitudes towards themselves, other, learning as a lifelong process, physics and the environment.
The Preliminary course incorporates the study of:

HSC physics:
- Space
- Motors and Generators
- From Ideas to Implementation
- Option Topic:
- Astrophysics
- From Quanta to Quarks
- Medical Physics
Students will be taught to:
- identify data sources to analyse and solve complex problems to determine appropriate ways in which each aspect may be researched
- plan first-hand investigations to demonstrate and describe variables involved in the investigation
- gather information from secondary sources by accessing information from a range of resources, including popular scientific journals, digital technologies and the internet
- analyse information to identify trends, patterns and relatopnships as well as contradictions in data and information
